- Identity Verification: Provide a clear, digital copy of a valid Government-issued ID when prompted. This is required to verify your relationship to the student and ensure the safety of our monitoring platform.
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials (username and password).
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
- Notify us immediately at mcatrecemartires@gmail.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
Note on Data Privacy: All Government IDs and personal data collected are processed in compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173). These documents are used solely for verification purposes and are stored securely.
We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
4. Guardian Verification and Student Linking
While account registration is open to authorized roles, access to student-linking features (the QR Link Scanner) is strictly restricted to verified Guardians. To access these specific features, you agree that:
- Verification Requirement: You must complete the verification process within the "Edit Profile" section before attempting to link a learner.
- Mandatory Documentation: Verification requires the submission of a clear, digital copy of a valid Government-issued ID and a "verification selfie" (a photo of you holding your ID).
- Admin Approval: Linking access is not immediate. All submitted identification is subject to manual review and approval by the school administration to ensure the safety and privacy of the student.
- Right to Reject: We reserve the right to deny linking requests if the provided identification is blurred, expired, mismatched, or deemed insufficient to establish a legal relationship with the learner.
Data Privacy Note: In accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012, all uploaded identification documents are stored in an encrypted environment and are used exclusively for the verification of your identity and guardianship status.
5. Services Provided
Maranatha Christian Academy – Trece Martires City, Cavite Inc. provides a digital platform designed for authorized users to support institutional, educational, and safety monitoring purposes. The Services include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Online student attendance monitoring using QR code technology
- Account management for authorized users such as admin, staff, teachers, and parents
- Real-time viewing of student attendance records
- Reports and monitoring tools for school administration and management
- Notifications and announcements accessible to teachers and parents
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the Services strictly in accordance with these Terms.
6. User-Generated Content
Our Service allows authorized users to input, upload, or generate data ("Content").
Ownership: You retain all ownership rights to the Content you submit to the Service.
License to Us: By submitting Content, you grant TMC MCA a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you and other authorized users.
7. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that interrupts, damages, or impairs the service. Specifically, you are prohibited from:
- Hate Speech: Transmitting any content that is offensive, defamatory, or promotes discrimination or violence.
- System Vandalism: Attempting to hack, destabilize, deface, or compromise the integrity of the Site or the scanning system.
- Spamming: Using our mail or notification systems to send unauthorized, unsolicited, or spam messages.
- Unlawful Access: Attempting to access data or accounts of other users (students, parents, or staff) without proper authorization.
8. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.
